Steps

  1. Open Automations. Choose a ready-made workflow or New automation.
  2. Give it a clear Name and choose the trigger under This happens. Add any available filters, such as session type or source.
  3. Review the steps in order. Add a wait or condition where needed before sending an email, creating a task, or sending a form.
  4. Check the message, audience, and timing. Check whether another active automation already sends the same message.
  5. Save the automation and try its trigger with fictional data.
  6. Open the runs history to see whether it finished, was skipped, is waiting, or failed. Read the result before changing the workflow.

Check it worked

A test run has the expected result and creates only the task, email, or form you intended.

Common questions

A workflow did not run

Check that it is active, the event matches its trigger and filters, and any waiting time has passed. A condition may skip a run.

Someone received duplicate emails

Check for overlapping workflows. Review the run history before switching off or changing a workflow.
