Run a private community for your clients

Give a group of clients a private space to post, comment and cheer each other on, with your announcements pinned at the top.

Coaches and team members who run courses or group programmes ยท 4 min read

Steps

  1. Open Clients and sessions, then Communities, and choose New community.
  2. Give it a name and a short welcome. Choose who belongs: clients you pick, everyone in a group programme, everyone who has a course, or all your clients.
  3. For a community of chosen clients, open it and add each client under Members. Members open it from the Community section of their private page.
  4. Write a welcome post and tick Pin to the top, so it is the first thing members read. Pinned posts stay above newer ones.
  5. Members see each other only by first name and last initial, or a name they choose. They never see emails or phone numbers. Remind them that what they write is seen by the other members.
  6. Read new posts in the feed. Reply, pin, hide or delete any post or comment, and take a member out if needed. Reports from members appear at the top with the words that were reported.
  7. Members can get one email a day when there are new posts, and you get an email when a member posts. These emails never include what anyone wrote, only a link to the community.

Check it worked

A test client sees the community on their private page, can post and comment, and you see their post in the feed.

Common questions

A client cannot see the community

Check who belongs: they must be chosen, enrolled in the programme, or able to follow the published course. A member you took out stays out until you add them again.

My business uses health privacy mode

Members see a note asking them not to share health details in posts. Nothing anyone writes is copied into an email.
